Why it’s offered
An aneurysm is usually silent until it's an emergency. A one-time scan can catch it while it's still safe to watch or treat.
When it’s routine
The USPSTF recommends a one-time ultrasound for men 65–75 who have ever smoked, and selective screening for other men 65–75. Discuss with your provider.
